Have done a bit of knitting

I started this little outfit for our newest Grand daughter Matilda and finally finished the set to give to her before she gets too big. The little jacket was knitted from the top, no seams to sew together my kind of very easy knitting for me to do.

And here is the sweet little Matilda. We don't get to see her often as they live in Ballarat Victoria but we get to see lots of photos.

Thanks for looking in. Until next time.

FNWF cushion complete

Thank you Cheryll for hosting tonight's FNWF. So glad I was able to join in and I look forward to seeing what the other FNFs have been up to tonight. I will be very busy tomorrow with helping my Daughter and family move into my Dad's house but will look in on Sunday.

My last cushion is finished.

The cushion looks great on the lounge.

I was also able to do a bit of knitting. I am not the worlds best knitter but decided to knit myself a jumper. At least this wool knits up fairly quickly.

Thanks for a great evening of stitching Cheryll, hope to be with you again next time.

FNWF Tonight with Cheryll and friends

I have so been looking forward to another FNWF I seem to always be some place else and not home to join in so tonight is the night.
I have been busy making cushions for our family room lounge chairs, as I posted about yesterday and thought I just needed one more for the small armchair. So this afternoon I cut out the fabrics ready for the stitching tonight.

I decided on half square triangles finishing of some of the fabrics I had used previously in the other cushions. All the fabrics I have used were given to me by my neighbour a few months ago as she was moving house to travel permanently in her caravan, so I was very lucky that the colours were what I liked and suited the lounges. I have put the squares together and hopefully within the next hour I will have a completed cushion.

See you soon.

Where does the time go........

I certainly envy all you well disciplined bloggers out there for keeping up with your blogging. I have great intentions but time just never seems to be on my side.
It has been a month or more since arriving home from our wonderful holiday and it seems to be taking me forever to get back into the swing of things.

Since losing my darling Mother in February there have been lots of tasks I have had to attend to with my Dad moving in with us and deciding what to do with his house etc. That has now been settled with my middle daughter and her husband and daughter moving in I can now rest peacefully knowing that the house will be okay. Cleaning the house out after 60 years of accumulating anything and everything has been a challenge in itself. My Dad has settled well into our home he will turn 91 this month.

I have had a little time to do some sewing. I have wanted to make new cushions for our family room lounge for quite some time and have now achieved that goal and am very happy with the finished cushions. I really enjoyed making them. I managed to make 6 for the lounge.

From cutting up lots of 2 inch strips

I have made 2 beautiful cushion covers for the formal lounge. I still have to purchase an 18 inch cushion insert for one of the covers. I loved how these ones turned out.

My dresden table centre has also been finished and put to good use. At least a few things have been crossed of my to do list over the past few weeks.

Until next time
